Motorcycle Rights Association of New Jersey Welcomes you to our website
About Us
MRANJ is a not for profit group for the mutual assistance, enjoyment, entertainment, physical, mental, and social benefit of its members and the general public. There are several specific goals that we strive to achieve.
Among them is the promotion and advancement of the sport of motorcycling, to encourage by acceptable means, the safe use, operation and enjoyment of motorcycles, and to develop a fraternal spirit between motorcyclists and the general puplic.
Additionally, we have supported and will continue to support various charitable causes in our region. These causes range from our annual Veteran's Day Run to raise money for our local Veteran's Home, to benefits held for the victims and families of accidents or illnesses.
To fund our operation, we have several events throughout the year including our annual Ground Hawg Day Run. We also schedule several "Fun Runs" that are held no matter what the season or weather. These runs may be anything from an evening at the rodeo or races to swap meet trips or dinner in another state.
Please click on the "Events" link at the top for more information on our events as well as "Other Events" for local clubs and organizations.
We are run by a governing board and trustees, but are a group for the people and by the people. The voice of our general membership is the most important tool we have in achieving our goals. We invite you to stop by one of our meetings to see for yourself.
Our meetings are held:
When: The first Tuesday of every month at 8:00 p.m.

Motorcyclist Safety Tips:
Drive Defensively - Assume motorists do not see you and plan escape routes.
Make Yourself Visible - Wear bright colored and reflective clothing. Do not linger in "blind spots". Adjust your lane position.
Give Yourself Time and Space to React - Do not tailgate. Use the "Two Second Rule" or the "Four Second Rule" to create space between you and vehicles ahead of you.
Avoid Sudden Braking or Turning When Driving on Wet Roads or Gravel - With only two tires, motorcycles have less tire traction than other vehicles.
Enhance Your Skills with Education - New Jersey offers various safety and skill courses, for riders new and old. View more information, or call 609-633-9308.
